At the Computex 2012 event, Asus showed off a tablet that will run with Windows RT. Asus does not use the Windows 8 on this new tablet because Windows 8 can only run on processors from Intel, such as Intel Atom or Ivy Bridge. As for the ARM chip based devices, Microsoft has prepared the Windows RT.
